Hi everyone! This summer has been super hectic for me. I learned how to balance a full-time job with summer classes and the classes ended up taking up almost all my time when I was not working. My last day was Wednesday, so I finally have some free time (and energy) to blog!
Nothing says “summer” like the smell of freshly applied sunscreen. I went to Walgreens a couple weeks back to buy what I thought was a spay sunscreen from Kiss My Face. As it turns out, I bought their spray moisturizer instead of their spay sunscreen. I figured I might as well try it out since I am always keen to try new moisturizers.
Since I recently moved, I have not had a lot of time to cook or go grocery shopping. I woke up the other morning really wanting a tofu scramble, but soon realized that I was out of olive oil and Earth Balance. That prompted me to look around the kitchen for what little alternatives were available. I settled on sesame oil and went from there.
Hey everyone! I apologize for not posting for a while. The past month has been full of finals, celebrating my twenty-first, moving, and adopting a kitten. I will be posting much more throughout the summer because I will actually have extra time on my hands.
I know many of us struggle with the decisions of whether to buy cheap or expensive tools to go along with our makeup. Sometimes, buying an inexpensive tool ends up being more costly than investing in a quality tool. This post will discuss a tool that I bought recently that has changed my beauty routine for the better.
I often find myself struggling with how to properly contact companies about their stance on being cruelty free and vegan. Firstly, there is a difference between being cruelty free and vegan, and secondly, there are tons of loopholes that allow companies to promote those labels without being one hundred percent honest.
My lips dry very easily, so I always have a tinted and a non tinted lip balm in my schoolbag or purse. The tinted comes in handy if I want a subtle pop of color while out and about. I tend to misplace a lot of my lip balms, but you can never have too many! I wanted to share my current lip balm collection and do a price comparison.
Hey everyone! I have been busy the past couple weeks with the start of my new quarter. I have not been able to search around for product comparisons but here is a quick, simple, and affordable recipe. This must have taken me less than 30 minutes to prepare and cook! All prices listed are from my local Trader Joe’s and total amount for ingredients was around $15. This recipe should make multiple portions and is easy to edit depending on taste. I have started to make meals in large amounts so I have less time to spend in the kitchen during the week.
One of the main things I am always concerned about is laundry. I have never had such a need for loose change like I do now. Most college students do not get the luxury of having their own washer and dryer. I am lucky enough to share a single washer and dryer within my four unit apartment complex.
I want to begin by saying I realize that everyone has a different lifestyle and I respect that. Not everyone can afford to buy fresh ingredients everyday/every week or handmade local clothing. This is important to bring up because there are some people who are trying to live a vegan lifestyle, but are criticized when they buy food/products from companies that are low on the vegan friendly list. Some of these companies may offer vegan options but the money is still going to a corporation that does not have animal or human welfare on their mind.
