Hi everyone! I want to apologize for being absent for so long. I took a week off from my classes due to medication making me feel terrible and so I have been catching up with readings, assignments, and checking in with my professors and TAs. A couple of weeks ago, I thought I lost my expensive Lime Crime eyeliner so I ordered a bunch of stuff from e.l.f., including their Precision Liquid Eyeliner to replace it. Though I still have a lot of Lime Crime products and use them, you can read here about why I will no longer be buying from the company. I see no need to throw away products if my viewpoint on a company changes because it is wasteful. I have always hated wasting things and strive to minimize waste as much as possible.
Hi guys! I got my wisdom teeth removed yesterday and spent a lot of my time prepping by staying on top of my reading and doing some extra. I apologize for the lack of posts. Needless to say, having a small surgery (my first ever too) has taken a lot out of me. I tried doing my usual weekend thang of organizing and cleaning but had to quickly shuffle back to my bedroom due to sudden cold sweats and nausea.
As mentioned in one of my earlier posts, I have combination skin. Not only does the skin on my face have varying levels of oiliness and dryness, my scalp is very sensitive. It gets incredibly itchy if I change my shampoo and I need to make sure I do not over wash it either. I have had this problem as long as I can remember and I even used to get made fun of in fourth grade because of my flakey scalp.
I thought I would do some reviews of the products that I got in the Petit Vour September beauty box even though they are considered luxury items. However, I will say vegan friendly nail polish is something that you might want to splurge on. Quality goes down with cheaper nail polish but sometimes buying the less expensive item is necessary. It all depends on your college budget, how often you paint your nails, and how much use you want to get out of a home manicure.
As someone with combination skin that changes with the seasons, I’m always looking for new beauty products. The products I use in the morning are different than what I use at night and very different than what I use in the summer vs. the winter. I also need to “change it up” every so often or else my skin gets too dry or stays oily. Like I said, combination skin.
A couple weeks ago I had cravings for meatless meatballs. I follow Gardein on a few social media sites and their meatless meatballs are pretty dang good and when I saw them pop up on my Instagram newsfeed, I knew I had to satiate my cravings somehow. I looked up easy vegan meatball recipes and lentils seemed to be the reoccurring trend as the main ingredient.
